About Us

A Nigerian company building a bridge to climate solutions

Carbon Bridge Africa Ltd. develops agricultural residue and biochar opportunities that can benefit farmers, soils and the climate.

Company overview

Who we are

Carbon Bridge Africa Ltd. (CBA) is a climate and environmental project development company based in Nigeria.

Nigeria’s agricultural sector produces large volumes of crop residues every season. Much of this material is underused, and some is disposed of through open burning. We see an opportunity to manage these residues more responsibly and to convert suitable materials into biochar.

Our role is to identify, assess and develop these opportunities — working with farmers, agricultural processors, technical specialists and investors — so that projects are practical, environmentally sound and capable of independent verification.

Mission

Our mission

To develop responsible agricultural residue and biochar projects in Nigeria that create value for farming communities, improve how residues are managed, and contribute to credible carbon removal.

Vision

Our vision

An Africa where agricultural by-products are recognised as a resource — supporting healthier soils, rural livelihoods and a meaningful contribution to global climate action.

Objectives

What we set out to achieve

Understand residue availability

Assess the types, volumes and seasonality of agricultural residues across target regions.

02

Engage local stakeholders

Build relationships with farmers, cooperatives and agro-processors based on fair, transparent engagement.

03

Evaluate biochar technology

Identify conversion technologies appropriate for local feedstocks, scale and operating conditions.

04

Protect the environment

Apply environmental and social safeguards from the earliest stages of project design.

05

Pursue credible carbon removal

Design projects around recognised methodologies, measurement and independent verification.

06

Mobilise partnerships

Bring together investors, technical experts and research institutions to move projects forward.

Our commitment

Sustainable, honest and locally grounded

We are committed to developing agricultural residue and biochar opportunities in Nigeria in a way that earns the trust of communities and partners alike.

  • Sourcing residues responsibly, without competing with food production or essential soil cover.
  • Engaging farmers and processors as partners, with clear and fair terms.
  • Reporting progress transparently — distinguishing plans from verified results.
  • Aligning with recognised standards for biochar quality and carbon removal.
  • Complying with applicable Nigerian laws and environmental regulations.
